20Ft Bayliner

This boat came to us to have the floor finished.  It went to another shop to have the floor done but the owner was unhappy with their work.  We are rebuilding the floor.  During our work we noticed the transom outer sections were rotten.  So we removed the rotten wood and replaced it.  Now we can reinstall the floor and finish it with two layers of fibre glass matting.

Yamaha Wave Runner
Champion Bass Boat

Instead of buying a new boat, that his wife said he could, Bob decided he really loved his Champion Bass Boat and decided to have it refinished.  We have ground out some minor cracking and surface flaws, filled and primed and will be painted a bright white and yellow combination.

During painting, we have painted the entire deck, and sides white and then painted the yellow on top, because the yellow is low hiding.  Then taped off the yellow and repainted the white, followed by three coats of clearcoat.

Jeep Pickup

Customer brought this vehicle in for a complete body and paint job.  After removing some paint and bondo, we encountered a few surprises.  The doors are being replaced with a nice pair of southern, rust free doors.   The box is in very poor shape and has been repaired at least once already.  Box panels are not available for this model so we had to make our own.  Our new panels are welded in place and covered with a water proof filler to seal any welding pin holes etc.  The box sides are shaped with some filler, sanded, and are now in primer.

 New Building

" Without Prejudice"

We started construction on our new building in October, the building started to be erected on December 7th,  and at this point is stalled.

Our contractor, does not seem to appreciate our urgency to put the building together.  After many disagreements about timeliness, workmanship, and other problems, the original contractor has walked off the job.  It took approximately four weeks to find another contractor that was willing to takeover the project.  We found a local contractor, Jim Hamilton from Essex.  That  was willing to finish the job.  This contractor has done an excellent job in repairing some of the defects from the previous contractor.  He has done an excellent job in getting our building closed in.

A very important lesson was learned, chose your contractors wisely, follow up to make sure that they have the experience that they claim.   Call past clients; which we failed to do.

1982 Searay Vanguard

1991 - 370 Searay

This boat came in to have stringers replaced and some other minor cosmetic work.  The engines have been removed, and the compartment stripped in order to remove the old stringers.   The old stringers, forward bulkhead, and side panels were found to have deteriorated, due to water intrusion and were removed.  The entire bilge was ground so that we can rebuild it.  The new stringer system is made from an engineering wood product called Paralam.   As you see the forward bulkhead and side panels have been installed and glassed in.  The stringers are next.  We now have the stringers fibreglassed in, the white product that you see is bonding putty.  We use the bonding putty to attach the stringers to the hull to take up any voids, etc. and to create a smooth transition, from the stringers, bulkheads, plates, etc. to the hull.  Doing this minimizes the chances of air pockets and makes for a neater finish.

 1979 Robalo CC

This boat fell from its lift during a wind storm.  It required the hull to be refinished when the boat fell, it cracked to transom, which was then replaced with new wood and glass.

Starcraft Bowrider

1994 Searay 290 DA

1999 270 Rinker

This boat fell from its blocking onto a cement drive and split the bottom, for approx. 10 feet.  The interior had to be removed, to facilitate the repair from the inside as well as the outside.  Many layers were ground away, and replaced.  Upon completion, the hull bottom was regelcoated, to match the original surface.

Vent Cover Doral

We are making a replacement side vent cover that was lost and the part is no longer available from the dealer. We are making a male mould from polyurethane foam, and then we will lay it up and vacumm bag it.
